Former fashion magazine girls and boys, we’re looking at you. We’re searching for a media-savvy creative type to package up neato featurettes, blog posts and photo shoots for our vintage clothing retail site. We need words, images and multimedia to add value for our shoppers and inspire the Nifty Thrifty lifestyle.
Here’s how it’ll all go down:
+ you’ll work as a yin-yang dynamic duo with our to-be-hired Fashion Director (so if you have a bestie fashion buyer, let us know)
+ you’ll open up your rolodex of fashion peeps to score blog interviews, guest stylists and eagle eye photographers
+ you’ll be in charge of user experience: how customers like to read, shop and stay in touch
+ you’ll know just how to utilize social media (our blog, twitter, tumblr, facebook, and more) to bring new customers to the site and keep devotees interested
+ you’ll develop and nurture a voice and style that spans every bit of collateral that goes out, from daily emails to customer service landing pages
+ you’ll be the one to make Nifty Thrifty a fashion destination for everyone from bargain hunters to trend-savvy hipsters

Are you Nifty?
Can you spot the pristine in any pile of togs? Do you have a closetful of designer duds that you’ve scooped up on the sly? Are you constantly putting together unbeatable outfits worthy of a glossy 10 page-spread with your thifty finds? We are on the search for a thrift-savvy fashion director with a can’t-miss clothes sense and an innate ability to spot quality in construction and material from miles away. With a deep knowledge of fashion history, we want YOU to buy the majority of our inventory.
This is thrift shopping on a grand scale, but that’s not all. In addition to sourcing our inventory, you should also know how to style and curate an aesthetic for the site via seasonal photoshoots and everyday styling needs for the site.
Our ideal FD will have:
+ excellent personal style that seamlessly blends old and new with thriftastic je ne sais quoi
+ fundamental shrewdness (read: the ability to analyze data on what sells and what doesn’t, and adjust buying accordingly)
+ management skills to train our data people on how to measure, identify and describe garments
